AFS and Kerberos: Fun for the Entire Family

We understand that AFS and Kerberos are considered by most organizations to be dinosaurs. Few of us are Spring Chickens and many of us have spouses and children. That is part of the reason that this year's Workshop is being held during the Summer vacation period. We realize that if you are going to join us it will probably be your family vacation. So come to Pittsburgh PA USA for a week. We promise two family friendly social events on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Pittsburgh will provide many hours of family fun.

For Wednesday

On Wednesday night we will have an outdoor dinner on the hotel patio overlooking the Monongahela River.

For Thursday

On Thursday night we will board a Gateway Clipper and cruise the three rivers.

For the Feet

The conference hotel is located in South Side Pittsburgh PA separated from the South bank of the Monongahela River by the South Side Riverfront Park and the Three Rivers Heritage Trail which is perfect for long walks, jogging and bike riding.

For the Dogs

You say you can't leave your dog behind? No problem. The conference hotel is dog friendly and Pittsburgh has many off leash dog areas including a dog park a mile West of the hotel within the South Side Riverfront Park.

For the Kids

We will work to arrange child care if necessary.

Pittsburgh is Kidsburgh

The Kidsburgh website maintains a list of children friendly events and activities in and around Pittsburgh. View activities for the week of August 16th.
