Title: Auks: A Kerberos and HPC batch system
Abstract:
This talk presents Auks, an opensource application that provides kerberos credential support in HPC batch system, and its integration in Slurm, an opensource resource manager for large clusters.
Auks is a multithreaded client-server application (not an authentication system) that uses kerberos authentication and encryption primitives to securely provide a centralized credential repository.
Issues concerning kerberos support in multi-thousand node clusters, like long running jobs and scalability, will be discussed as well as planned enhancements.
