Title: The new OpenAFS Preferences Panel for MacOS X

Abstract:

The widespread usage of OpenAFS in INFN implies an increasing use of a lot of MacOSX AFS client. Unfortunately the lack of a GUI interface on this platform makes the general management more difficult to users. In this presentation, after a brief introduction about the AFS environment in INFN, the new OpenAFS Preferences Panel (aka AFS Commander) will be described and it will be reported how it has been designed and implemented in order to be OSX-aware and how it actually works.
