| The talk will go over UMBC's experience with deploying all of its AFS server infrastructure on Solaris 10 using ZFS as the backing store. AFS code changes, tuning, and ZFS tuning and performance metrics will be covered. The second part will cover a project I am working that uses the Zones feature in Solaris 10 to form a "buddy system" for multiple AFS servers and allows for a semi-automatic HA (active-passive) setup for RW volume servers. | |
