A discussion of how JPL
has combined a MySQL database server with cronjobs t o create a system
for monitoring the health and growth of our AFS servers, including but
not limited to mointoring meltdown and break delayed callback
situations, determi ning trend analysis over time of cell
usage/growth, complete histories of individual volumes, integration of
most logs into a single timeline oriented view, determining all client
versions accessing our servers and noting increase/decreaase over time
of critical versions, verifying that all volumes have their
appropriate Backup volumes, reconciling any differences between
listvol and listvldb outputs, etc.
